The berry farmer’s cooperative
  Uruberry Cooperative is formed in 2003, when a group of experienced Uruguayan farmers decided to get together. At that time, blueberries were a new produce in our country, so the mission we set for ourselves was to ensure the production and marketing of best quality fresh berries in counter-season to the Northern Hemisphere, i.e. from October to January.

  Uruberry is a member of the Uruguayan Chamber of Exporters (UEU), is registered in the Uruguayan Ministry of Agriculture (MGAP) and is a founding member of the Uruguayan Blueberry Chamber (CUDELAR).

  The majority of Uruberry farms are located at the southern half of Uruguay, in the Departments of Canelones, Durazno, Lavalleja, Maldonado, Montevideo and San José. The scattered location of our farms insulates our production from site specific climate conditions, such as the eventual occurrence of late frost or hail. This is especially valued by our customers, since they benefit from greater consistency in the supply of our produce.
